| The hills, the
Tevere river, which crosses it, and the planes make the Valtiberina’s
land unique and this fact inspired many times Piero della Francesca
in his most important works. Such a particular country keep several gastronomic resources, which are very appreciated by many and many gourmets. We think that the “Prince” of them is surely the white truffle, making us and our tables drunk from October to December. The meat coming from Val di Chiana make the High Appennino one of the most important place to pasture. The woods, rich in chesnuts and juniper, are the perfect lands for the growing of the tasty and scented boletus mushrooms. The chesnuts from Caprese Michelangelo, the Extravergine olive oil, the several wines and the vegetables of our greengrocers complete the variety of our products. Remember also that in Sansepolcro was born and stays still a very famous pasta factory: the Buitoni. |
