As the nature
in Valtiberina is unpolluted and various, it offers the possibility
to practise several sports. The artificial Lake of Montedoglio is
an ideal place for fishing and surfing. In Sansepolcro, during the
period between June and the beginning of September, a wonderful Olympic
swimming-pool is opened, offering the possibility to the swimmers
to plunge and to spend some happy hours in a calm and relaxing background.
Several ridings are situated in different lands and are good points for the lovers of this sport. Some country paths are ideal references for practising mountain bike. The C.A.I. and the G.E.A. organisations offer some ways for trekking, too. The golf lovers can choose one of these two structures: the Golf Club Castello in Antognolla, located next to San Giovanni del Pantano (PG), which has nine holes very well restored, and the Golf Club Casentino, in Palazzo del Pero (AR), with nine holes, too, put on a natural terrace 500 m. above sea level. You can reach both the Clubs by car from Sansepolcro in 45 minutes about. In the surrounding area of Sansepolcro Sud, in Palazzolo, there is the Avio Superficie, where it is possible to bale out in tandem and practise flight courses with glider from June to November.
